I've used two of these guitars - one was a '2nd' quality (the tuner holes were mis-aligned so I filled the holes and drilled new ones in the correct positions) and the other one a regular '1st' quality one. Both had 'Blackwood' fingerboards which, while not as pretty as rosewood, work perfectly well. I'm on my 4th neck from this supplier now; I keep coming back because they have the SG & LP 'glue in' necks that I need but mainly because the quality has been very good so far. All 3 that I've built so far play beautifully well - and the necks definitely contribute to that. I won't pay £200 for a neck for a custom build but I am happy to pay up to £100 for one - and this retailer offers that range of prices. The necks with slight flaws are even better for me because I can fix the issues myself and it's a great way to keep the price of a build down. Thanks ML Factory.
