Here are some pictures for the guitarcontest 2013.
I bought a J-style guitar from ML-factory, and here are the results of my buildingproject.
I ordered the locking tuners and rollerbridge with it, and finished the guitar in surfgreen nitropaint.

I know it is a very heavy surfer, haha. But Kurt Cobain used jaguars as weel and that’s more my kind of music…..
That this guitar doesn’t even come close to a real jag I knnow. The fender decal seemed like a good idea at the time, but it’s got the ML-Factory decal on it now. The paint job is also changed. I had problems with the intonation of the guitar and found out that the bridge wasn’t positioned right. So I had to fill the holes, drill new ones and ruined the paint. The guitar now has a iceblue metallic finish, and iI’ve put other pickups in it. A Dimazio from hell in the bridge (witch I can split and set in and out of fase with the switches) a GSP vintage single coil in the middle and a Peavey humbucker in the neck position. All three are black…..suits the guitar much better.

Basically a nice guitar, nice fish, ok, I wouldn’t use HSH pickup combination for a surf type guitar, maybe you are a heavy surfer. But why have you applied a Fender Logo? Including the „R“, which stands for „registered trademark“? If you would sell the guitar in a public place like the bay, you could get troubles. And „Jaguar“ – besides the body shape that guitar is no Jaguar at all, just some basic points:
– Jaguar has a 610mm scale, your guitar 648mm (if you used the neck provided with the kit)
– Jazzmaster pickguards have a total different cut, eg the pickguard is under the bridge
– Jazzmasters have a floating bridge, no adjustomatic
– No 2nd chrome plate containing the three pickup switches
– The electrical layout is no Jaguar at all, Jaguar has tricky options like a Jazzmaster
Sorry for the critics: Without the faked logo it would be a nice interpretation of the Jazzmaster/Jaguar style, with the logo it is just a poor fake.
