Headless – Kenneth de Heer
Mein Beitrag zum ML Bausatz Contest 2021 ist meine Headless Gitarre „Flowing Peacock“. Die Gitarre wurde nach dem Schleifen grundiert und danach mit Acryl Magic Marble Farbe „geswirlt“. Für die Versiegelung, habe ich 2K Klarlack ebenfalls auf Acryl Basis verwendet. Nachdem der Body komplett ausgehärtet war, habe ich die Oberfläche poliert. Der Hals wurde gewachst und das Griffbrett geölt.
Die Elektronik, habe ich komplett ausgetauscht. Eingebaut wurden 2 Göldo Mini Potis 500k log, für den Tone ein WSC Partsland Mylar Kondensator 22nf, ein „Fender Style“ 3 Way Switch Made in Korea und eine Switchcraft Buchse.
Die Pickups habe ich von Roswell ausgewählt. Diese werden in Korea hergestellt und stehen den „Großen Marken“ klanglich in nichts nach und machen auch preislich was her. Ich habe mich hier klanglich und leistungstechnisch mit der Auswahl an meinen Pickups die ich sonst in meinen anderen Gitarren verwende (von DiMarzio und Seymour Duncan) wie dem SH6/TB6 Bridge/Neck sowie bei dem Middle Single Coil an Steve Vai‘s ISCV2 Evolution gehalten.
In der Headless Gitarre ist am Neck ein Blade Humbucker im Single Coil Format mit hohem Output für „singende Solis“ verbaut. In der Mitte ein Single Coil ebenfalls mit sehr kräftigem Output der aber auch „Funky“ kann. Und an der Bridge ein Blade Humbucker für Hi-Gain Sounds. Die Poti Knöpfe sind Original Ibanez JEM „Oldstock Knobs“ von 1989 die ich in OVP dieses Jahr aus Frankreich erworben habe (stehe ja auf diese extremen Farben).
Ich hoffe das Euch die Gitarre gefällt und freue mich auf Euer Feedback. Gitarrenmäßig spiele ich eher ein hartes Brett im Bereich Metal/Crossover/Hardcore/Punk. Aber auch im Elektronischen Musikbereich mache ich verschiedenes.

My contribution to the ML Kit Contest 2021 is my headless guitar „Flowing Peacock“.The guitar was primed after sanding and then with Acryl Magic Marble paint“Swirled“. For the sealing, I used 2K clear lacquer, also based on acrylic. After the body was completely hardened, I polished the surface. The neck was waxed and the fingerboard oiled.
I have completely replaced the electronics. 2 Göldo Mini Potis 500k log were installed, for the tone a WSC Partsland Mylar capacitor 22nf, a „Fender Style“ 3 Way Switch Made in Korea and a Switchcraft socket.
I chose the pickups from Roswell. These are made in Korea and are in no way inferior to the „big brands“ in terms of sound and also make a difference in terms of price.With the selection of my pickups that I usually use in my other guitars (from DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan) such as the SH6 / TB6 Bridge / Neck and the Middle Single Coil, I have stuck to Steve Vai’s ISCV2 Evolution in terms of sound and performance.
A blade humbucker in single coil format with high output for „singing solos“ is built into the neck of the headless guitar. In the middle there is a single coil with a very powerful output that can also be funky. And a blade humbucker on the bridge for hi-gain sounds. The potentiometer knobs are original Ibanez JEM „Oldstock Knobs“ from 1989 which I bought this year from France in the original packaging (I like these extreme colors).
